Frosty Tines Deer Expo February 24th 2019
On Sunday February 24th, our fearless volunteers braved the elements and hosted our first annual Frosty Tines Winter Deer Expo.
Despite less than poor weather conditions due to wind gusts of 50 mph, we were still able to pull in 90+ people to attend the event. We had our banners full of nice deer mounts from years prior.
Looking forward to next year after hearing much desired positive feedback from vendors and speakers as well as audience members.
We had Jake Blow from Habitat Solutions speak about Whitetail Habitat and a general overview of buck behavior, as well as Dave Price from Red Lake Tribal DNR to speak about their ongoing wolf study.
With anticipation for next years' event running high, we would be much obliged if there are any leads on any prospective vendors that might be interested.
Discussions have been made about next years' big buck contest. It'll likely be the previous years' harvest that we are interested in enlisting in the competition. Make sure you keep your tag for proof that it is your buck harvested in the relevant year. We will accept whitetails from all years as well to hang on the wall for displaying purposes, and to be entered into our trophy wall drawing.
Another thing we are adding for 2020 will be a tag soup drawing; keep your unfilled 2019 Deer tags for a chance in our drawing.
